Senior ILS Practitioner

About the role:

This is a unique opportunity to be the first ILS Practitioner in the company and take ownership of establishing ILS processes and culture from the ground up. You will be responsible for running all engineering sustainment activities, ensuring our supply chain is well-defined and effectively managed. Working on mission-critical Defence products, you will play a key role in optimizing lifecycle costs, maintainability, and logistics supportability.

About you:
  • Strong understanding of all Fundamental ILS Components (FIC).
  • Passionate about ILS and aerospace products.
  • Proven ability to lead ILS initiatives and work across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in logistic engineering calculations and methodologies.
  • NV1 Level AGSVA Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
Key responsibilities:
  • Define and implement a sustainment plan for our products
  • Review and Improve Supply Chain.
  • Perform Logistic Engineering activities, including HRA, FTA, S&OA, RBD, FMECA, RCM, LORA, and probability calculations
  • Write Technical Maintenance Manual and Training Manual.
  • Lead all ILS aspect of the company
Your experience and skills:
  • 10+ years of experience as an ILS practitioner, with deep expertise in FIC elements.
  • 5+ years of experience working on Defence projects.
  • Proven track record in transitioning projects from the acquisition phase to sustainment.
  • Hands-on experience in supporting aerospace, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Electronics Engineer

This full-time, in-office role will work closely with our fractional CFO and virtual bookkeeping team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and maintaining robust internal controls.

Key responsibilities:

●     Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial management reports including profit and loss balance sheet and cashflow and other reports as needed by the leadership team and the board

●     Provide financial analysis, insights and recommendations to support sound commercial business decisions.

●     Be a business partner to the leadership team to ensure they know their numbers, own their number and have the financial information needed to be effective in their roles

●     Work closely with the fractional CFO on strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

●     Provide direction, and oversight to the virtual bookkeepers to ensure accurate data entry, timely reconciliations, and reliable reporting.

●     Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

●     Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

●     Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

●     Manage cash flow, monitor financial transactions, and support audit activities.

●     Improve, streamline, and implement financial processes to enhance efficiency and support company growth.

Support R&D tax return efforts through accurate documentation and reporting.

Your experience and skills:

●     Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).

●     Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar role.

●     Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

●     Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

●     Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

●     Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
