Integration and Test Engineer

About the role:

As an Integration and Test Engineer, you will sit at the intersection between the development teams and out commercial teams. You will play a critical role in the testing and integration of our optical radar products at Arkeus. Working with engineers, software developers and commercial teams, you will need to lead discussions and push for success at every opportunity. A problem solver, critical thinker and clear communicator your role ensures Arkeus’ continued success. This is a role that will provide intimate access to our cutting edge technology and will provide opportunities to travel and growth opportunities into the engineering, FIT or commercial streams.

About you:

• 3–5 years of experience integrating hardware onto vehicles, ships or aircraft

• Comfortable debugging hardware, firmware, and software to pinpoint root causes

• Fluent with Python/Bash scripts for automated testing

• Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD, and other aerospace qualification standards are highly desired

• Thrive in hangar and field environments, switching easily between wrench, laptop, and stakeholder briefings

• Meticulous in capturing lessons-learned and rolling them into clear, actionable documentation

Key responsibilities:

• Develop system-level test plans and automated rigs that exercise electrical, mechanical, and software interfaces end-to-end

• Execute bench, ground, and flight trials; analyse telemetry and issue detailed defect reports

• Conduct end-to-end integration of payload systems with third-party aircraft and UAV platforms, managing electrical, mechanical, and software interfaces

• Define and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to ensure accurate communication between subsystems and external platforms Instrument and calibrate prototype hardware, maintaining flight-ready spares and support gear

• Produce compliance artefacts and coordinate with third-party labs for EMC, vibration, and environmental approvals

Your experience and skills:

• 3–5 years’ experience integrating and troubleshooting complex hardware systems on vehicles, ships, or aircraft, including electrical, mechanical, and software interfaces.

• Proven ability to identify root causes using diagnostic tools and systematic testing approaches.

• Proficiency in Python and Bash to develop and run automated test plans, data analysis scripts, and integration workflows.

• Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD, and related compliance processes, including preparation of artefacts for certification.

• Comfortable working in hangar and field environments, switching between technical hands-on tasks, flight/ground trials, and technical briefings for diverse teams.

Product Owner

About the role:

As an Arkeus Product Owner you will work with specialist engineers in a high-performing Product Team to design, develop, and field novel technologies into complex environments. In this backdrop you will be responsible for driving outcomes that cover the complete product life cycle: customer engagement, design, development, testing, and delivery. In the operational tempo you will rely heavily on the program office to support your engagement and decision making, technical leads for validation and direction on product strategy, and your own business acumen in navigating the complex trade-space of time, cost, and responsiveness.  

Your role will include team-mentorship and identification of key areas of strength and weakness, and strategies growing and addressing both. In cases your product roadmap may be the most technically challenging and innovative work within Arkeus. Your role in managing this complexity and opportunity will be the dividing line between team success and failure. It is essential that you look to un-block the team daily but also maintain the product vision and continue to see the “forest from the trees”.

Quality products are core to your deliverables. Meeting your customer’s expectations and charting a path to deliver a compelling experience at each stop on the product roadmap. In this way you will be responsible for all aspects of the product, reporting directly to Arkeus leadership and managing your customer directly. Success is within your control.  

Experience in Defence industry and/or operational settings will be an asset to accessing, managing, and coordinating the types of product-related events, trials, serials, and proving events central to product development cycles. An interest in aviation, uncrewed air vehicles, or optical systems will be helpful as many of the Arkeus technologies relate to these domains.
