Production Manager

About the role:

Arkeus is seeking an experienced Production Manager to setup and manage our Production facilities and all related processes. This is a critical leadership role, balancing 50/50 technical direction and team leadership, contributing directly to business success. You’ll guide the Manufacturing process, Supply Management set up the right Quality assurance and ensure appropriate Health and Safety compliance. Reporting directly to the COO, you will be a key member of the leadership team and work closely with the C-Suite to support Arkeus' ambitious growth.

Key responsibilities:
  • Design and manage production cells for defence sensor products, ensuring efficient layouts and workflows.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and quality improvements.
  • Define and manage Bills of Materials (BOM), coordinating with local suppliers to support domestic sourcing.
  • Source and maintain production equipment, including installation and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Lead recruitment, training, and supervision of production staff while promoting a culture of safety and quality.
Your experience and skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing / production engineering role
  • Experience with small-scale high value production lines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP/PLM systems, CAD).
  • Experience in Defence or aerospace industry.
  • Experience with electronics assembly, PCB manufacture and testing
  • Experience in automating manufacturing process

Senior ILS Practitioner

About the role:

This is a unique opportunity to be the first ILS Practitioner in the company and take ownership of establishing ILS processes and culture from the ground up. You will be responsible for running all engineering sustainment activities, ensuring our supply chain is well-defined and effectively managed. Working on mission-critical Defence products, you will play a key role in optimizing lifecycle costs, maintainability, and logistics supportability.

About you:
  • Strong understanding of all Fundamental ILS Components (FIC).
  • Passionate about ILS and aerospace products.
  • Proven ability to lead ILS initiatives and work across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in logistic engineering calculations and methodologies.
  • NV1 Level AGSVA Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
Key responsibilities:
  • Define and implement a sustainment plan for our products
  • Review and Improve Supply Chain.
  • Perform Logistic Engineering activities, including HRA, FTA, S&OA, RBD, FMECA, RCM, LORA, and probability calculations
  • Write Technical Maintenance Manual and Training Manual.
  • Lead all ILS aspect of the company
Your experience and skills:
  • 10+ years of experience as an ILS practitioner, with deep expertise in FIC elements.
  • 5+ years of experience working on Defence projects.
  • Proven track record in transitioning projects from the acquisition phase to sustainment.
  • Hands-on experience in supporting aerospace, mechanical, and electrical systems.
