Arkeus was proud to work with our industry partners, Flight Design, and our customer the Royal Australian Air Force, to conduct flight operations from the stratosphere. 

Our expendable imaging sensor, ELMO, reached a height of 92,000ft above the earths surface, being deployed from a high-altitude persistent balloon. ELMO then started disseminating data from 65,000ft – demonstrating the systems ability to collect imagery and send that data to any location on earth, in real time, for only a couple of dollars.

With customers facing the challenge of timeliness and cost associated with satellite imagery, ELMO’s game changing approach provides real time, low cost, ISR when and where it is needed.
