Arkeus is pleased to confirm that their expendable imaging sensor, ELMO, was successfully deployed, during a demonstration to US SOCOM in the United States.
ELMO provides a rapidly deployable, real time, ISR capability, capable of extracting information from anywhere on the planet - at any time - for a very low cost. ELMO comes pre-configured with a variety of mounting and deployment options. It can be held, dropped, left behind or dispersed in order to collect ISR data in the most challenging environments. Imagery is autonomously extracted, prior to the employment of an AI based Super Resolution process that compresses the information for dissemination using Short Burst Data message packets and sending the information over satellite communications networks. Arkeus ground control software then recreate the imagery on the ground control station or aircraft.
During the demonstration to US SOCOM, Arkeus demonstrated ELMO’s ability to capture ISR information from under parachute, compressing data on the edge, and and disseminating that data back to the location of control for exploitation.
ELMO was developed by Arkeus under an Australian Government contract to generate expendable imaging systems for challenging operational environment.
