Australian Autonomous Optical Systems company, IAS Asia Pacific, announces a rebranded identity – Arkeus – to better reflect the breadth of autonomous optical capability our company currently creates – and the trajectory of our future.
Arkeus has developed into a leader in the field of autonomous optical systems. “Our edge based ARK artificial intelligence fusion engine enables the rapid evolution of highly customized capability”, said Chief Executive Officer, Simon Olsen. Existing technologies don’t meet the breadth of modern operational requirements. Technology that was effective ten years ago – no longer is today. To compete and to win, we need to empower our customers to be able to make better decisions, faster. That is the prism through which our products effectiveness is judged.
Arkeus has been working closely with the Australian Department of Defence, along with developing close relationships in the high technology ecosystem in Australia as we seek to support the evolution of sovereign high technology capability.
“We can’t continue to provide military and civil defence operators with technologies that inundate them with data that may, or may not, be relevant to their mission. Nor can we provide technologies that support operators in certain environments or against certain contacts of interest – but lack the breadth of operational applicability. Our mission at Arkeus is to deploy advanced autonomy through our ARK artificial intelligence fusion engine – in conjunction with customised optical arrays – to deliver information to our customers, packaged and ready to make decisions”, explains Olsen.
Arkeus has a number of existing contracts with the Australian Department of Defence to deliver autonomous optical search, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance payloads - right sized to meet the mission needs. “Our systems are currently optimized for drones, aircraft, helicopters and on high altitude platforms, operating over land, sea and littoral environments,” said Olsen.
In addition to working with the Department, Arkeus is exploring opportunities to extend our products into the commercial space – where the benefits of accelerated decision making are relevant across a range of domains including search and rescue, fisheries, law enforcement, disaster recovery and agriculture.
Arkeus accelerates decision making through the fusion of optics and autonomy.
Arkeus specializes in rapid design, innovation and fabrication of autonomous optical capabilities - designed to deliver transformative effects for Search, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (SISR).
Arkeus wide area autonomous optical search and surveillance systems are optimised for a range of missions including ISR, border protection, city size surveillance, force protection, counter terrorism, illegal activity monitoring or search and rescue - across land, sea and space - specialising in extracting critical intelligence and surveillance information and disseminating that data in challenging or contested environments.
