Extracting ISR information at considerable range is typically the domain of large, over-tasked and vulnerable manned platforms. Yet as we migrate to more contested environments the requirement for long range ISR only increases
Autonomous Lightweight Airborne Sensor, or ATLAS, is designed to provide an alternative to these costly, over tasked manned assets.
Designed to fit within small size, weight and power constraints, this modular, low-cost system is designed to autonomously search the environment beyond line of sight of an operational control, detect objects relevant to the mission, classify the objects, then communicate imagery and meta-data information over short burst data satellite communications messages.
ATLAS can be accompanied by its own, optional, satellite communications module and optional battery pack, that can be rapidly integrated into a platform.
ATLAS autonomous optical solution is passive, requiring no remote control, reducing the chance of the system being detected while operational.
