When presented with imagery, SLICE will apply its image compression algorithms at the point of ingestion. Data is compressed on the sensor between 100 and 1000 times – based on operational requirements. Once compressed, data can be disseminated back to the GCS in a wide range of formats, not limited to short burst data using satellite communications. Once received at the GCS, SLICE applies an AI Super Resolution software that restores the data packets into imagery sufficient to conduct contact recognition.
